How to mach geisha lips
Start with an image... creates a new transparent layer.
With the new layer select a color you'd like to have in the middle of the lips. I’ve picked a reddish pink.
With the Brush tool use a smaller scale. Around 10-14 and paint over the part of the mouth you'd like to color. Use your layer palette and scale down the opacity to something that blends well. Also you will want to change it from "normal" to something that blends well... like color or hard light. I end up using about 45. With your eraser tool make sure to erase anything you do not want coloured.
Open another new transparent layer. This time select white and paint the rest of the lips. I used my layers palette and set it to "lighten color" and had to opacity at around 40.
Once your erase any white that you do not want you are done!!! Blend the rest of the image as you like. I sometimes like to use my "dodge tool" and lighten the lips a lil making them look like they have a gloss on them.
